Machu Picchu situated 2,430 metres in the Andes Mountains in present times Peru, was once the center of the Inca Religion.

It is believed that Machu Picchu was constructed as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472 AD), and it is often mistakenly referred to as the “Lost City of the Incas”.

Machu Picchu was built in the classical Inca style, with polished dry-stone walls and walking around the area gives an idea about how the Inca life most have been.
